Mary, aged 45, suffered a traumatic brain injury due to a car accident in 2008. Child Clinical Neuropsychology

What is it?
The provision of specialist psychological assessment and treatment/rehabilitation to children and adolescents with acquired brain injury, neurological illness/developmental disorders. This includes cognitive assessment using formal psychometric measures, neuro-behavioural assessment and intervention, assessment and delivery of evidence based individual and family therapies. It also includes advice and consultation to clinical and educational teams, rehabilitation professionals and case managers. Given the developmental nature of many child neuropsychological difficulties, review, longer term monitoring and reassessments are offered.

How will it be delivered?
HPC Registered clinical psychologists with specialist knowledge and expertise in work with children and adolescents deliver this service across a range of environments including inpatient and community rehabilitation settings, educational establishments and outpatient clinics across the south of England.
